This project is founded and coordinated by:
dr. Lieke Wijnia, Curator of post-Reformation Catholic collections at Museum Catharijneconvent in Utrecht, The Netherlands. And fellow of the Centre for Religion and Heritage, University of Groningen. She recently published Beyond the Return of Religion: Art and the Postsecular (Brill 2018) and is co-editor of the forthcoming volume The Bible & Global Tourism (Bloomsbury/ T&T Clark 2021). Her scholarly work was honored by Tilburg University (2017), Teylers Theological Society (2017) and Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park (2018). In 2012 she was nominated for the Dutch Young Art Critics Awards. The first major exhibition she works on as curator is Mary Magdalene, opening in February 2021.
dr. James S. Bielo, Associate Professor of Anthropology at Miami University (Oxford, OH, USA). He is the author of four books, most recently Ark Encounter: The Making of a Creationist Theme Park (NYU, 2018), and founder of the digital scholarship project, Materializing the Bible.
